BOLLARD is designed and selected according to the berth capacity and the structure of the wharf to meet the requirements of safe, reliable and easy-to-use operations such as ship leaving the dock, berthing, shifting and turning around.

BOLLARD is composed of shell, anchor rod, nut, washer, anchor plate and column packing.

BOLLARD is divided by purpose, including ordinary BOLLARD, storm BOLLARD, test BOLLARD, etc.

The location of the ordinary BOLLARD center is generally about 0.5 to 0.8 meters away from the front line. It is too close to be hit by the ship when approaching, and it is not safe to operate the cable; too far back will hinder the loading and unloading of mechanical operations and damage the cable. For outfitting and ship repairing docks, due to the facilities such as electrical connection boxes at the front, BOLLARD is required to be slightly farther from the front line, about 0.8 to 1.0 meters.

Storm BOLLARD is used for mooring ships during storms and is generally located behind the dock. Some ports do not have storm BOLLARDs because they are less likely to suffer from typhoons, or ships do not take shelter in the port during strong winds, so there is no storm BOLLARD; in some ports, in order not to hinder the operation of loading and unloading and transportation machinery, there is no additional storm BOLLARD behind the docks, but ordinary BOLLARDs. The size is enlarged so that it can be used in high winds.
