Compared with the 2,879 ships and 72656668CGT counted on April 11, 2021, the number of hand-held orders increased by 0.80% month-on-month, and the revised gross tonnage increased by 4.61% month-on-month.
Among them, the number of orders held by Chinese shipyards is 1,511 ships, a total of 29887954CGT, which accounts for 52.07% of the global market share, and CGT accounts for 39.32%; the number of orders held by Japanese shipyards is 452 ships, a total of 8453774CGT, and the number of ships accounts for 15.58% of the global market share. , CGT accounted for 11.12%; South Korean shipyards held orders for 526 ships, a total of 24,598,613 CGT, the number of ships accounted for 18.13% of the global market share, CGT accounted for 32.37%.
From the perspective of main ship types, the number of orders held by bulk carriers was 621, totaling 51,869,422 deadweight tons; the number of orders held by oil tankers was 576, totaling 52,294,050 deadweight tons; the number of orders held by container ships was 484, totaling 4,353,643 TEU.
